»I opened the door already starting to grin that sly grin that comes over you when the sun drops in the west and it’s Saturday night and everything is full of massive and mysterious promise and you know everything will happen to you, when you know everything can’t help but perfect itself.«

Jason Emde

Jason was born and raised in Canada, spent a year in Zimbabwe as a Rotary Exchange Student, and has lived in Japan since 1995. Last year his first book, My Hand’s Tired And My Heart Aches: Letters From Japan, was published. He claims to currently be working on a book of poetry, a collection of travel writing, a collection of short stories, and an amateur film about English conversation schools in Japan, but the inside word is that he’s not doing much more these days than quitting smoking, playing chess and drinking too much coffee. He hopes to return to Zimbabwe someday.
